Your doctor will probably ask you about the frequency and quality of your erections. He or she may ask you about other health conditions you have such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Since medication can affect erectile quality, your doctor may want to know what medications you are taking. Whether you smoke or drink may well come under discussion since these too can affect erectile quality.

You should tell your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions, especially those that relate to blood flow, and you should inform your doctor of any recent surgeries. Your doctor will also need to know whether you are on any prescription medications, and it may be worthwhile informing your doctor of any over the counter medications that you may be taking, such as supplements or vitamins.
