So what is Erectile Dysfunction?

Almost all men at some point in their lives will have some sort of erection difficulties.  If, however, you have more than the occasional difficulty with getting and keeping a quality erection, or your erections are not as hard as they used to be, or if you cannot gain an erection at all, you may well be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED).

If you do suffer from ED, be secure in the knowledge that you’re not alone.  It is a widespread condition that affects about 50 percent of Australian men between the ages of 40 and 70 years, and it affects almost every man at some point in their lives.  For some of these men, ED occurs frequently, but most will only experience ED occasionally.  You shouldn’t be embarrassed about ED, it is a recognized medical condition, and in the overwhelming majority of cases, ED is treatable.

To leave ED untreated risks a significant impact on a man’s self-confidence, self-image, and feelings of self-worth.  It can put huge strain on relationships, and it can also lead to women blaming themselves when their partner experiences erection difficulties.  They may question themselves or they may feel that their partner no longer finds them attractive.  Women often sense that their partner thinks of himself as less of a man because sex is not what it used to be, and they don’t want to hurt their partner’s feelings by bringing up the subject.

The good news is that regardless of the cause of your ED, there is a treatment for the majority of cases.  There are a wide variety of proven, highly effective treatments that you can choose from with help from a doctor.
