Definition
F.S.A.D. stands for Feminine Sexual Arousal Disorder – a condition that robs women of sexual desire and the ability to become aroused. The sad news is that 50% percent of women experience it at some point in their lives. And this includes young women as well as older women. In fact, the Australian Study of Health and Relationships found that nearly 55% of women said they lacked interest in sex.
Causes
The causes of loss of sexual desire and arousal can be complicated because no two women are the same. What are some of the reasons a woman might lose her sexual desire or have difficulty becoming or staying aroused?
Weight
In some cases, women who carry 50 or more pounds of excess weight experience F.S.A.D. If this is the case, a treatment program must also address the weight problem.
Chemicals
Unfortunately, chemicals in the form of prescriptions, recreational drugs, or alcohol can sometimes cause F.S.A.D. In the case of alcohol, this is usually true only for women who drink excessively.
Emotions
Emotions can also have a great deal to do with sexual desire. Luckily, emotional issues can often be treated physically. Treatment programs can often relieve symptoms of depression and reduce the adverse effects of extreme stress.
Hormones
Pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, or even menstruation can cause hormonal imbalances which, in turn, can cause F.S.A.D. Many treatment programs can help to restore balance to a woman’s hormone levels, whether she is in her 20s or has already gone through menopause.
Treatment
F.S.A.D. is often very treatable and usually does not have to be a permanent condition. The Supplemax F.S.A.D. Treatment Program is customised for each woman in order to address the specific issues that may be causing F.S.A.D.
